Every deck we build starts with a solid subframe — the part you don't see but that determines whether your deck lasts 10 years or 30. We use galvanised hardware throughout and treat all cut ends with timber preservative.

A properly built Merbau deck with stainless or hot-dip galvanised fixings will last 25–40+ years with regular oiling (every 2–3 years). The subframe timbers, if they're H3 treated pine, will also last 20+ years.
In Victoria, decks over 800mm above natural ground level, or attached to a dwelling in certain zones, may require a building permit. We'll check the requirements for your specific property and council at the quote stage.
A standard 30–40m² deck takes 4–7 working days including footings, subframe, decking boards, and stairs. Complex multi-level decks or large projects may take 2 weeks.
