A tired, patchy backyard lawn next to the pool turned into a crisp new turf lawn framed by a wide bluestone crazy paving border, linking the deck, the pool area and the garden beds.
A bare dirt strip beside the verandah turned into a side path of bluestone stepping stones. Each stone was set on its own mortar bed, then new turf was laid around them.
Before paving a side path and courtyard, we installed grated strip drains along the retaining wall and the side of the house, then compacted a new crushed-rock base so water has somewhere to go.
An old asphalt courtyard around a lemon tree, broken out and replaced with hand-laid limestone crazy paving on a new base.
