Burwood East, around Burwood One and the Tally Ho business park, is mostly brick veneer family homes built from the 1960s to the 1980s, on blocks big enough for a proper backyard and, in many cases, a pool. The original concrete driveways and patios here are now old enough to have cracked, settled or started holding water.

Falls are set away from the house and toward drains, and we check where downpipes and garden beds drain so water doesn't end up under the new surface.
