We build the hard parts of an outdoor kitchen: the paved floor, the brick, block or stone-clad base that houses the barbecue, bench supports, seating walls and the drainage around it. Cabinetry, benchtops and appliances come from your chosen supplier — we build the structure to their dimensions so everything fits first time.
A good BBQ area sits close to the kitchen door, out of the main walkway, with enough bench space either side of the grill and a level, non-slip floor. We set the paving to fall away from the house and the cooking area so spills and rain drain away, and we allow for gas and power runs (installed by a qualified electrician and gas fitter) before the paving goes down.
Face brick and rendered block suit most homes; bluestone or sandstone cladding gives a premium finish. For the floor, porcelain and travertine are easy to clean, and textured pavers give grip. We seal natural stone near the cooking area so grease wipes off.
Most outdoor kitchen projects cost $8,000–$27,000+ depending on size and finishes; paving is priced per m² from our price list.
