Concrete driveways are one of the most cost-effective and low-maintenance choices for Melbourne homes. A properly poured and cured concrete driveway can last 25–40 years with minimal upkeep — no resealing, no sand replacement, no individual pavers shifting.
We offer plain concrete, exposed aggregate (the small stone finish), and coloured oxide concrete. Exposed aggregate is our most popular option — it's slip-resistant, visually attractive, and hides dirt and stains well.
All our concrete work uses 25MPa or 32MPa concrete with proper reinforcement (SL72 mesh or reo bar for heavy-use areas), control joints to manage cracking, and a smooth-trowelled or broom-finished surface as required.

You should stay off a new concrete driveway for at least 7 days. Full curing strength is reached at 28 days. We put up barriers and curing compounds to protect the surface during this period.
All concrete cracks — the key is controlling WHERE it cracks using expansion joints. We saw-cut control joints at 3–4m intervals within 24 hours of pouring to direct any cracking. A properly constructed concrete driveway should show no random surface cracking.
Residential driveways should be 100mm thick minimum. For heavy vehicles (trucks, caravans), we recommend 125–150mm with additional reinforcement. We'll assess your needs and include the right specification in your quote.
