Most people know Chadstone for the shopping centre, but the residential streets around it are mostly post-war brick and weatherboard homes on medium blocks, many now being replaced by pairs of townhouses. We see a lot of older concrete driveways that have cracked and settled, and backyards where the original crazy paving or concrete has heaved around tree roots.
